Smart cameras

A smart camera contains a built-in processor, facilitating immediate calculations. Although the calculation capacity for the current generation of smart cameras is still somewhat limited, there are certainly possibilities for practical applications.

In machine vision systems, smart cameras can supply input for computer systems. A smart camera contains all necessary communication interfaces, for example an ethernet, industrial I/O-lines for connection to a PLC, actuators, relays or pneumatic valves.

Smart machinevision

3D cameras: for capturing three-dimensional information.

Smart cameras: for capturing with immediate calculations.

1D and 2D scanners: scanning bar codes, QR codes and data matrix codes.

Vision controllers: robust, industrial PCs that provide a reliable hardware base.

Lighting: optimal lighting to support machine vision applications.

Software: specialist software from Zebra (formerly Matrox).
