Livestock ID System
The DVC Machinevision Livestock ID System (LIS) automates the identification of cattle, pigs, sheep and goats. The camera system analyses ear tags and retrieves the country code, index number and life number. These results are forwarded to the ERP. This ensures that the butchery process is carried out with certainty, speed and reliability.

In the meat processing industry, it is crucial that each animal is correctly identified. Manual registration is time-consuming, prone to errors and limits traceability. Incorrect registration leads to time-consuming investigations, additional administration and corrections in RvO data, which results in unnecessary time and costs. Incorrect registration poses risks to food safety and quality assurance.
DVC Machinevision's Livestock ID System
The Livestock ID System reads the letters, numbers and any barcodes on ear tags. Even scratched or partially smudged tags are recognised with high accuracy. All data can be forwarded directly to ERP or MES systems.
The system can be easily integrated into existing production lines and provides the country code, index number and life number in real time, enabling
the ERP system to trace the origin, among other things. This creates a complete and reliable overview of the entire chain – from birth to slaughter.
With the Livestock ID System, every delivery is automatically and reliably registered, so that each animal is immediately and correctly linked to its administrative data.
